The new single from Hot Chip was released this week in the UK (CD,12",7") called Ready For The Floor. Hot Chip hit Toronto for a show at the Phoenix on April 16th.

Sonicflyer Sun In My Pocket

This song won't set the world on fire but definately a nice catchy jangily indiepop track from this London UK based band. The Sun In My Pocket EP was released last week in the UK on CD through the Xtra Mile Recordings label. The band quotes Oasis, The Verve, Doves as influences. Don't really get that from their sound.

Duke Spirit The Step And The Walk

Duke Spirit released their new single this week on CD and 7 Inch vinyl in the UK. The song is taken off their new album Neptune. Catchy haunting indie punk track from this English band.

Mother and the Addicts Watch The Line

Mother and the Addicts are a Glasgow based band signed to the Chemical Underground Recordss. Watch the Line was released as a 7 Inch back in August 2007 in the UK. Great indie track with stabs of new wave disco agression. The track is taken from their second album Science Fiction Illustrated which has just been released.

Great indiepop track recommended by Bartieboy. Female vocals. Mature sound. The band is a Glasweigan band.

Interesting Indiepop track from this Swedish band. Released on 7 Inch in the UK this week. Odd video to go along with it.

The new Kate Nash? Huge UK single on XL Recordings..Catchy indiepop tune...was released in the UK this week (CD/7 Inch) and her full length "19" is out next week.

The Little Ones Ordinary Song

Great indie rock track from this Heavenly Records band called The Little Ones. Their first album is due out soon called Morning Tide. The band is based out of Los Angeles. Available in the UK this week (CD/7Inchx2). They started the buzz late in 2006 with the release of their first single Lovers Who Uncover.

Sambassadeur Between The Lines

Another great track from another Swedish band. They are from Gothenburg and have released 2 CDs and 3 Eps.

Sons & Daughters Darling

New single from Sons & Daughters. Great indie rock from this band who release their third album The Gift this year. The album was produced by Bernard Butler of Suede. Adele Bethel, who formed the band, was originally in the band Arab Strap. If you look far enough down this Blog you will be able to check out their first single of the CD called Guilt Complex which is even better.

Client Lights Go Out

Great track from electro new wave outfit Client. Kate Holmes, formerly of Frazier Chorus and Technique, and Sarah Blackwood, formerly of Dubstar make up this outfit who release their latest single on the Poptones label.

Bodyrox AND Luciana What Planet U On

Bodyrox start out 2008 with their followup to the smash club track Yeah Yeah called What Planet U On. Pretty generic but sorta catchy club track featuring once again the vocals of Luciana (formerly of eurodance band Crush who put out the club hits Luv'd Up and Jellyhead).
