What a slow week for single releases in the UK. Sony and Island records both put out average singles by average new bands. However indie label AdventuresCloseToHome put out one fantastic indie single. A UK band with their first release. Raw and catchy. Great female vocals. Jangily guitar, beyond eighties Synths. drum claps. I'm sold.

This is great epic indiepop from this Scottish bunch from Glasgow.

Great single and the fourth off their first album The Colourful Life. A number of blogs and musical press have slagged off this album but I think its great. The singles are catchy and the album is definately hits home after a few listens. Great indiepop from this UK band.

Happy Canada Day. A new single from the Black Kids. Saw the band recently in concert and had a hard time wrapping myself around their performance. Hopefully the album out next week sells me more. The first single off the album was incredible. This followup single isn't bad either. Vocals sound alot like what a young Robert Smith (The Cure) might sound like. Okay back to the fireworks celebration
