Quirky electro indiepop single from Metronomy which seems to get a rerelease as this track originally came out in 2007. Uk outfit who are also known for their remixes of everyone from Lykke Li, Goldfrapp, CSS, Love Is All, Late Of The Pier to Ladytron. Maybe this release is with new remixes? Great new track from Bat For Lashes. My first ever blog post actually hyped this outfit up and was pre-IKDK for The Panic Manual back in July 2007. The track was for What's A Girl To Do. Approximately two years later and Bat For Lashes are back with a very moving operatic indiepop story with Daniel. The track is taken from the forthcoming album Two Suns.

Bat For Lashes will be at the Mod club in Toronto on April 25, 2009 but alas the gig is sold out.

Brand new single from the Doves from the 4th Doves album of the same name. Doves have been around since 1999. Historically this British indie band was doing dance music as Sub Sub for most of the late nineties until a rumoured fire in their recording studio made them switch to indiepop. Good single but is definately a grower. Full length album was out in the UK on March 30th.

Fantastic new single from this US electronic pop band taken from their debut album Manners released in May. This is the followup to their big first single Sleepyhead which caused a ruckus last year on the indieclub scene. I'm liking this more than the first single and the first single was some very nice avalanches like cut up.
